Michael’s Story

In late April 2026, what Michael thought was a lingering chest infection quickly turned into a life-changing diagnosis. Following a series of rapid scans and biopsies, Michael was diagnosed with metastatic (Stage 4) lung cancer.

A recent PET scan revealed that the cancer is widespread, having originated in his upper right lung and spread to other areas of his body, including his brain, lymph nodes, bones, and soft tissue.

Despite this incredibly difficult news, Michael, his wife Julie, and their family are pressing on with immense courage. Michael is currently undergoing targeted radiation treatments and working with his oncology teams—including consulting with the Mayo Clinic—to explore advanced, targeted therapies.
